Quartz Ridge

Often I've spotted a huge outcrop of white rock on the hillside when hiking on Quartz ridge in the Phoenix Mountains. When I finally decided to investigate I found the biggest hunk of Quartz I've ever seen. Its about the size of a small bus, just sitting there surrounded by brush and cactus. I of course thought it was really cool looking, so I snapped a bunch of pics, and I really wanted to share. Enjoy.

The Lost World: Tonto Natural Bridge

Tonto Natural Bridge is one of the most amazing places I've ever been. When you step inside it's like being transported back in time, or to another world. If you're ever in Arizona, It's definitely worth stopping for.

Tonto Natural Bridge
Can you see that person standing in the bottom left corner? Really gives you a sense of how huge this opening is.

Okay, this is my favorite shot. Why? because it looks straight out of the movie "Alien".
